Happiness Surrounds New Beginnings!

A friend asked for a card to be made to give to somebody that was creating 'NEW BEGINNINGS' for herself.  It needed to be bright and cheery!

Happiness Surrounds, Highland Heather, Crushed Curry, Balmy Blue and Gorgeous Grape were the winners!

Just to brighten the card front a little I added some Silver Glitter cardstock.

My friend was very happy with the end result.

It doesn't take much to make a card, when you have all the right products to start with.  Stampin' Up! have all the right products and it is always fun to see what you can make.

Perennial Birthday

Although now retired this stamp set has always been a favorite of many stampers.

Since it is retiring I thought I would add it to my collection before it disappears, never to be seen again.

I've used Basic Gray cardstock and ran it through the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder and used tombow glue to fix it to the white cardstock front of the card.

Again from Whisper White cardstock I've used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to make the label, with Lemon Lime Twist cardstock as the border.

I've stamped the images on the white cardstock label from the stamp set in Basic Gray and coloured in the flower by a dauber in Lemon Lime Twist ink.

Stamp Happy Birthday in Basic Gray ink on the white cardstock and border it in Lemon Lime Twist, add some ribbon and a little bling and you have created another birthday card.

Most of these Stampin' Up! products have now retired but this card shows you a simple design that you could adapt to any stamp set you might have.

Memories

Just love these colours!  Petal Pink and Pool Party!

Love the scrappy torn look to the Bird Ballad DSP!

Found some 3D flowers, which I use to use all the time in my scrapbooking and cardmaking, so thought Mother's Day was an appropriate time to use them again!

Found also the MEMORIES scrabble tiles .... so cute!

I Can't Thank You Enough - Mother's Day 2020

This is what I say to my Mum all the time ... 'I Can't Thank You Enough'!
It's an appropriate Mother's Day saying.

If you saw my last post I made another Mother's Day card using the Bird Ballad DSP from our soon to finish Annual Cataloge from Stampin' Up!  I've used it again here on this card but used very different colours.
The piece of Bird Ballad DSP matches very well with Pool Party cardstock and just to bring in another colour I've used So Safron cardstock to highlight the circle of DSP from the Subtles 6" x 6" DSP range.
I've gone back to my scrapbooking days and used multi layers on this card.  There is a tag made using the Delightful Tag Topper,  another tag using the Everyday Label, a Pearlised Doily, and the top tag with 'I Can't Thank You Enough' sentiment on it, is the Label Me Lovely Punch!
So many layers!
I've used some old rhinestones from my stash of goodies to create a trail of  bling and found that cute little paper clip!
A Daffodil Delight bow and that's the card!

Magnolia Lane - Happy Birthday

Given that we are all self-isolating at the moment and staying home, I've got time to make some cards and put them up here on my blog!

I understand not all products I've been using are current products through Stampin' Up!, but I'm more concerned about showing you card styles and hope you are interested enough to go to the Stampin' Up! website and have a look at all the fantastic products available!

Going through some of my papers today, I came across the Magnolia Lane DSP, which I haven't really used.

So here you go!

A rather easy card to make but pretty enough to warrant featuring on my blog!

I actually 'fussy cut' the Magnolia flower, which is not my most favorite pastime! I used dimensionals to pop the flower off the Petal Pink circle and again to pop it off the ribbon.
