Christmas Tags

Brightly Gleaming Suite

My favourite DSP this season!

This morning I finished a few more Christmas tags, because you can never have enough tags for all those gifts at Christmas!

I had made a few of these from the left over pieces that the girls left after a recent Make and Take and  I was so surprised how quickly they came together and how easy they were.

Using Very Vanilla cardstock for the base then topping that with Brightly Gleaming DSP, I created the base.  The sentiment 'Deck the Halls' is stamped in the co-ordinating ink on the Everyday Label, which I topped and tailed with the Night of Navy cardstock for added colour.  A small embellishment on top and a knotted ribbon, finishes off the tag.

So easy to make!  Why not have a go yourself?  Order some products from the catalogues and use my October Host Code  V3P99CPS so I know you have placed an order and are interested in my tags and all the co-ordinating Stampin' Up! products.

My Challenge This Week

I have been CASEing my cards, and adding just slightly to my own card, from the catalogues, Pinterest, other sources, due mainly to the time frame I have to work in.  I can take forever.... trying to decide colour, layout etc so find if I want to get a lot done in a day (and that's usually all the time I have to make cards) it's a quick way to get them made.

So I set myself a CHALLENGE!

Take a basic sketch, design and make my own!  I know you are all saying,  so what  is so hard about that .... I know!

So taking this basic layout sketch  from www.cardztv.blogspot.com I went ahead and created two cards using what I had left of the Woven Threads DSP and Seaside Spray cardstock!

Gorgeous .... right!

When you start creating and using your DSP, it's amazing how quickly that lovely paper gets consumed!

Been saying to myself ... that wasn't soooo hard after all!

See what you can create using our wonderful papers, cardstock and embellishments.

Product List from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue:

The 'Happy Birthday' is from a retired stamp set  Better Together but it is still one of my favourite stamp sets and just because you can't buy it anymore, doesn't mean you can't use it.

I'm sure any of the other current sentiments will look just as great, and you would just use the stitched shape to accommodate the stamp.

Like what you see????  Use the link to the Annual Catalogue in this blog and pop over to have a look at all the exciting products Stampin' Up! have.

and send me a message if I can help you with anything.

Oh and if you do go and shop on the Stampin' Up! website - don't forget to use my host code V3P99CPS, I appreciate it!

Till next time!
Cheers!

Happy Birthday Purple Posy

I’ve had the Woven Threads DSP for some time now, since our last paper shares  - knowing one day I would find an appropriate card to make.

Here  it is …. What do you think?

Being off work sick this week, gave me the opportunity to sit quietly at home and put DSP to cardstock and think about my blogs!

So I used a few different elements in this card.  Cutting an A4 piece of cardstock in half, always gives me 2 cards.  One to give away and the other to go into the ‘stash’.

I used the Heirloom Frames Dies and Embossing folders;  Well Said Stamp Set and Well Written Framelits for Happy Birthday.  I used the Flourish Thinlits to cut out the embellishments on the top corner using Purple Posy, Pretty Peacock and Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  Finally the Faceted Dots filled the centres of my flourishes.

Product List:

I always put a sentiment on the inside of my cards and a matching stamp or three in the corner, I add an envelope and put it in a plastic sleeve for protection, while it is waiting to be rehoused!

So much fun cardmaking …. you can contact me should you want to know more about Stampin’ Up! or anything here on my blog!

Don’t forget if you want to order, go over to the Stampin’ Up! website www.stampinup.com.au   and use my October Hose Code V3P99CPS.

Cheers!

Brightly Gleaming Suite

I just love this suite!  I’ve now made many cards using all the elements in this suite, which is currently available in our 2019 Holiday Catalogue.  Click on the picture to the right in this blog, it will take you straight to the catalogue.

Using a Very Vanilla card base, then Pretty Peacock, which I ran through the Subtle embossing folder and the DSP from the Brightly Gleaming Suite.  I used the larger of the two punches from the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack, added a couple of circles and a stamped sentiment and there you have a very stylish Christmas card, which didn’t take too long to make!

Product List:

Don't forget to use my October Host Code, when you place an order in my online store.  October Code V3P99CPS.

Hope you like my card!

Make and Take

Sunday 13th October 2019

I held my third Make and Take last Sunday, where I had seven very eager, keen, excited and talented ladies arrive at my door to participate in an afternoon of crafting.  We also had an eight year old young lady, who learnt how to glue Designer Series Paper (DSP) to cardstock and use a Big Shot!

We made three projects, using some retired and current products from Stampin' Up!

I know retired stock …. just means we have to come up with another current alternative but the retired DSP ‘Merry Little Christmas” from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue I used in the tags was one of the very first Christmas DSP’s I purchased and I still like it today …. mind you there is very little of it left now!

The second card on the day was again using ‘retired’ stock but the Dear Doily Stamp Set and the co-ordinating Dies are just beautiful and very versatile.  You have to agree!

The first card was our easy ‘just to get started’ card for those who had never put DSP to cardstock before and everyone found it a quick and cheerful card for Christmas.  Here we used the Wrapped in Plaid DSP with Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White cardstock.  We used the Oh, What Fun Stamp Set and some pretty gold ribbon.

Here are the three projects we made … hope you like them!

I'm holding another Make and Take later in November ... please drop me a message if you are interested in coming!

Cheers!
