Thoughtful Blooms

February Make and Take

As usual we gathered at the Gwandalan Guest House for a cardmaking session last Sunday 2nd February.

I created a very simple stamped card from the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set that is one of the FREE Sale-a-bration $90 items in the current catalogue, along with the Small Bloom Punch from the same SAB catalogue.

The colours co-ordinate well - Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Seaside Spray and the leaves were stamped in Garden Green.  Some ribbon and a little bling, made the card.

After stamping the small blooms in Highland Heather and the centre in Gorgeous Grape I used the punch to cut them out and add a dimensional behind them before adding to the card.

Effective!

The girls loved stamping .... I know what I'm going to do more of!

Timeless Tulips

Timeless Tulips Again

So much love for this stamp set and punch!

Following on from Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Monthly Blog Hop where I created a card using the Timeless Tulips stamp set and punch, I wanted to use this stamp set again, and again, and again!

So, I’ve created another two cards using the stamp set and punch, this time in Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather cardstock and using the DSP from the current Brights range.  I’ve added another layer to the main tulip, creating a further 3D image!

I used the Subtle 3D embossing folder and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, added a little bling and ribbon and another card is done!

Three Cheers for You All Inclusive Kit

Make and Take – Three Cheers for You Kit

Again with gathered at the Gwandalan Guest House for a crafting afternoon.

Today two friends, Beth and Shirley attended my January Make and Take to put together some cards using the Three Cheers for You Kit from the new Mini Catalogue.  This kit contains everything that you need to make some lovely cards.

We firstly made the cards that the kit suggested, then we put our own take on the cards and created another set of cards which were all a little different but using the same elements from the kit.

In each of the following photos, the top card is from the kit and the bottom card is stepping it up a little!

  • We turn the kraft pieces landscape style and added an extra night of navy cardstock, which was embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder.  We also added a piece of Burlap Ribbon.
  • Using only the elements from the Kit, we turned this card on it’s side and placed the elements a little differently.

  • Adding a extra layer of Calypso Coral cardstock, embossed using the  SweetHeart Embossing folder, we then added a ribbon in Calypso Coral to finish the card.

  • Keeping this card in a landscape layout, we again ran the Night of Navy cardstock piece through the Subtle embossing folder and added some Polka Dot Tulle ribbon to finish the card.  The word ‘hello’ was from the Timeless Tulips stamp set.

Well done ladies!  I just love how each individual has their own ideas and I love using those ideas myself!!!

Look forward to our February Make and Take – Beth wants something Valentines!!!

Challenge is on!

This month is my first blog hop, so I hope this will go live and somebody will click my link!

In November 2019 I attended OnStage for the first time in Sydney, anywhere for that matter!

I was lucky enough to receive the Timeless Tulips stamp set and so it was a “no brainer” to order the Tulip Builder Punch.  So following the image in the new Mini Catalogue, with a few of my own changes,  (we don’t always need to reinvent the wheel, someone once said) I created this Timeless Tulips birthday card.

So using the Timeless Tulips stamp set, and co-ordinating punch;  Bermuda Bay, Pretty Peacock and Whisper White cardstock;  Stitched So Sweetly Dies;  DSP from  Brights set and a little ribbon and embellishments from my stash .... my card.

Thank you so much for coming by today!  We have an amazing line up of Stampin' Up!® demonstrators from around the world, and we know you are going to love all the amazing projects that you are going to see today.  Don't miss one blog link.  Remember you are currently on my page – Trudy Collis, see who is below me to know where to go next.
